BALLERSTAEDT presents sustainable mono sealing film at Fachpack 2021 to mark the company’s 75th anniversary

BALLERSTAEDT & CO. OHG, system provider for sealing solutions from Rastatt, Baden-Württemberg, has reason to celebrate: The family-owned company is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year and will be presenting itself at Fachpack 2021 with a strengthened sales team and an innovative single-variety plastic sealing film.

This year’s 75th company anniversary is a special event for Managing Director Harald Ballerstaedt: “We can look back on an eventful history of our company and are proud of the worldwide successes that we have already been able to celebrate as a medium-sized company – not least thanks to our committed employees”.

On the sales side, the company has repositioned itself for the anniversary year: The customer service team was strengthened and 7 customer advisors now take care of the concerns of the company’s approximately 1000 customers worldwide. Hanns Eckhardt, an experienced colleague in the packaging industry, has also been recruited for the position of Sales Director.

On the occasion of the company’s anniversary, the company also presents a new sealing material that focuses on recycling instead of disposal. While conventional sealing materials are usually made of composite materials that cannot be industrially broken down into their components and are therefore difficult to recycle, BALLERSTAEDT has developed the single-variety plastic sealing films BaCo Sealfilm Mono-PET and BaCo Sealfilm Mono-PP.

The mono films combine excellent product protection thanks to a barrier against oxygen and water vapour with optimum recyclability: both sealing films are made of unmixed plastic (PET or PP) and can therefore be passed on separately or together with the container into the respective recycling stream. The mono films are suitable for sealing products from all sectors.

The materials BaCo Sealfilm Mono-PET and BaCo Sealfilm Mono-PP will be presented for the first time at Fachpack in Nürnberg, Germany from 28 to 30 September 2021 at the stand of BALLERSTAEDT & CO. OHG, Hall 6, Stand 6-417.
