Next Generation Safety Scanners Offer Expanded Feature Set
Banner Engineering has released the SX5-B6, a new version of its standalone safety laser scanner with enhanced features. These include a field-replaceable window, more detection resolutions, Partial Dynamic Muting, improvements to operate in lower temperatures, and External Device Monitoring.
SX-Series safety laser scanners protect personnel, equipment, and mobile equipment within a user-defined region. Banner’s new SX5-B6 can continuously scan a 275° area to create a two-dimensional protected zone around a potential hazard or obstruction. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically, installed to monitor the space around corners, or positioned centrally to observe two separate 90° zones, or attached to automated guided vehicles (AGV) to prevent collisions. The SX5-B6 includes the same features of its predecessor, the SX5-B, and has expanded functionality to solve even more applications.
