Hardness tester MIC 10 not longer available
UCI Hardness Testing
Hardness tester MIC 10: The device's manufacturer GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies
(Krautkramer) terminated the production at the end of October 2017.
For this reason, the wideley-used UCI hardness tester MIC 10 is not available anymore. After the device has
not been developped for many years, the manufacturer has now drawn a line.
A modern alternative is offered by the company BAQ GmbH. With the alphaDUR mini, the alphaDUR II and the
laboratory instrument UT200, a hardness scanner, which can rapidely measure hardness profiles on surfaces,
BAQ covers all application areas up to fully automatic testings in production.
The UCI procedure according to DIN 50159 and ASTM A1038 has been used by BAQ for 25 years. The devices
are constantly kept up-to-date with the latest technologies in order to offer maximum precision with simple
operation to the user.
BAQ also offers a wide range of probes from HV1 to HV10, as well as equipment adapting to the respective
measuring task.
The alphaDUR UCI hardness testers are provided through a worldwide sales network. Detailed, qualified advice
is just as natural as short lead times for calibrations and low prices.
