What are the common driving devices for electric rail carts?
The drive system is one of the most important systems of the electric transfer cart. The operating performance of an electric rail transfer cart is mainly determined by its drive system. This article introduces the main components of the drive system-motor, reducer, drive wheel and transmission mechanism.
1. Motor
It adopts DC traction motor with compact structure, strong overload capacity and long service life. It has excellent load characteristics, large starting torque and small starting current, which can meet the needs of frequent starting of rail carts and save electric energy. The motor operates efficiently throughout the entire speed range, providing high reliability and long life.
2. Reducer
Using hard tooth surface gears, the mechanical transmission efficiency is high, the operation is smooth, the noise is extremely low, the installation and maintenance are convenient, and the shafts at all levels rotate flexibly.
3. Driving wheel
The driving wheel has a mature design and is made of cast steel, which is integrally quenched and has wear resistance, oil resistance, and anti-skid properties.
4. Braking system
Using electromagnetic braking, in an emergency, the rail transport vehicle will stop immediately by the operator using the emergency stop button. After the forward or backward movement switch is released, the traveling distance until the rail cart stops should not exceed the technical requirements.
