Robotic welding without programming
Marketed under the brand name VB by Exner, this solution provides a practical answer to one of the main obstacles to welding automation in steel fabrication: programming robots. Unlike conventional robotic cells, which can require more time to program than the welding operation itself, the IRPS system is based on a simple principle: using a system of 3D scanners combined with advanced software, the cell automatically analyses the part, identifies pre-configured joints and generates the robot programme in a matter of seconds, immediately starting the welding operation.
This approach paves the way for the cost-effective automation of single-unit production and small batches, which are characteristic of modern steel construction.

A direct response to the shortage of welders
Today, welding remains the most challenging stage of production in many workshops. While equipment for shearing, drilling or plasma cutting is largely automated, welding often remains a manual process.
