Over-height Vehicle Detection by Using Smart Height Limit Bar

Application:

A TF03 device is installed on a height limit bar usually placed in front of viaduct or tunnel on road for lateral detection to horizontal direction. It detects the distance is reduced, indicating the passing vehicle height is over the limit (e.g., 2.5 m). At the moment, the alarm light flickers and camera is triggered to take photos, then the broadcast is on, advising the vehicle to turn back. The limit bar will be raised automatically to suitable height, allowing ambulance or bus to pass when it is detected over 2.8m high.

Install Benewake single-point LiDAR with the height limit pole side of the vertical pole at height limit position, horizontal detection is performed, LiDAR is used to replace the traditional metal crossbar, as the right side of the above figure. When the vehicle passes by, the LiDAR measurement data changes and the background system triggers an alarm according to the data change.
