BIG KAISER launches a level detector with an external wireless display
Two-axis detector that utilizes a separate display for easy readability
BIG KAISER, a global leader in premium high-precision tooling systems and solutions for the metalworking industries, today announced the Level Master FM, a new version of BIG KAISER’s two-axis level detector for levelling machine tool tables.
The Level Master FM adds wireless connectivity to enable levelling information to be read from a separate display device, thereby making it easier to ensure that a precision level is achieved. The detector supports an accuracy of up to 0.01mm/1m, enables simultaneous measurement with multiple detectors able to transmit to independent display devices at a range of up to 30m from the measuring point.
In order to maintain the precision of a machine tool, it is of utmost importance to level the machine tool table from time to time, or when a machine tool is moved to another place. In the past, this has meant that two people may have been required: one for reading the level detector (or two separate one-axis detectors) and another for making adjustments. The whole process was slow, tedious and error-prone.
In contrast, the Level Master FM is simple enough for just one operator to use. Multi-coloured LEDs provide clear visual information about how far a surface is away from the horizontal level, simultaneously in both axes.
BIG KAISER is leading the way in developing advanced electronics for the tooling sector, with its in-house team creating innovative solutions to practical factory floor issues. This capability makes BIG KAISER ideally placed to respond to the demands of Industry 4.0.
“Levelling can be tricky, particularly where access is restricted,” says Giampaolo Roccatello, VP Sales at BIG KAISER. “The Level Master FM solves this challenge with ease, combining precision with simplicity.”
The Level Master FM is available now.
