Dynamic climate chambers for small-scale tests

April will see the launch of the MK 56 and MKF 56 environmental simulation chambers with an interior volume of 60 liters. These products have been designed specifically with complex temperature and climate tests involving small components in mind.

BINDER GmbH, the world’s largest specialist in simulation chambers for scientific and industrial laboratories based in Tuttlingen, has added a new model designed specifically for small-scale tests to the units in its MK and MKF series. April will see the launch of the MK 56 and MKF 56 dynamic climate chambers with an interior volume of 60 liters. “Given that in the electronics and automotive supply industry in particular, it is often small components that need to be put through their paces in temperature and climate tests, 115-liter units are much too large and expensive in many cases,” says Miriam Faude, Product Manager at BINDER. “This new size is also ideal for small testing laboratories that do not have much available space or that only perform limited tests without using their unit to full capacity on a regular basis.” The MK series is designed for heat and cold test cycles ranging from -40°C to 180°C, while the MKF series is additionally equipped with a humidifying system. This makes it suitable for complex dynamic climate profiles in dynamic conditions with humidity values ranging from 10% to 98% relative humidity. The capacitive humidity sensor with responsive steam humidification system allows the required temperature and humidity values to be reached with speed and maintained with precision. The chambers are also fitted with casters, making them incredibly flexible. What’s more, both of the dynamic climate chambers only need a single-phase connection with 230 V and 50/60 Hz, meaning they can be used universally without a high power connection being required. The units come with a new BINDER touchscreen controller, making them simple and intuitive to operate. All of the features needed can be seen clearly at a glance, and the program controller can be used to regulate the climate conditions and program the temperature and humidity cycles.

The innovative APT.line preheating chamber technology enables homogeneous temperature distribution thanks to the horizontal airflow on both sides, even when fully loaded, and also ensures quick heating up and recovery times. Both units have heated viewing windows with interior LED chamber lighting and a dewing protection system that can be programmed for samples, along with a whole host of additional features. The series units can also be updated with specific equipment details based on the customer’s requirements through BINDER INDIVIDUAL.
