Biofertilizers, a biological solution to revitalize soils

In 2016, Bioreactors.net installed two industrial bioreactor production lines for the manufacture of biofertilizers in Lithuania.

Biofertilizers are biological products containing living microorganisms used to revitalize the soil, restore its natural balance and promote plant growth. They mainly consist of bacteria that fix nitrogen, release phosphorus, increase potassium absorption and restrict plant diseases that are caused by fungi.

The first line consists of three bioreactors of different sizes:

· one 50L bioreactor

· one 500L bioreactor

· one 5 000L bioreactor

The second line also contains three bioreactors of the same scales as the first line, but also an additional 20 000L bioreactor.

Each of these bioreactor systems operates using our magnetic drive mixers, even the 20 000-liter bioreactor, demonstrating the utility of the magnetically coupled mixers at larger scales.

The systems are fully closed and all operation between bioreactors, CIP, SIP and mixing vessels are completely automated.
