Halogen-free electronics housing

Bocube industrial housings convince with completely UL-listed materials.

The housing components of the innovative Bocube series are made exclusively from materials that meet UL safety standards and are halogen-free. This also applies to the PU foam seal. This means that every Bocube plastic housing from BOPLA meets the highest industry standards. Bocube housings made of polycarbonate also meet the strict fire protection standard for rail vehicles EN 45545 and outdoor capability according to UL 746 C f1.

Almost all BOPLA housings are made from UL-listed materials. Of course, the Bocube industrial housing with its variants in ABS and polycarbonate is no exception. After successful material certification according to UL50, this also applies to the injected polyurethane foam seal.

Bocube models made of polycarbonate are the front runners when it comes to safety and robustness. Your material is classified as flame-retardant and self-extinguishing with flame retardancy class UL94 V-0 according to the world's most authoritative standard for assessing the flame resistance of plastics - UL 94. "In addition, it even meets the particularly strict requirements of the fire protection standard for rail vehicles EN 45545 for use in the highest hazard class HL3," explains Mathias Bünte, product manager at BOPLA.

But the Bocube variants made of PC can do even more: They also proved their particular suitability for outdoor use according to UL 746 C f1. This means that their material passed all relevant flame retardant and mechanical tests with flying colors even after artificial weathering (1000 hours of exposure to UV light and a seven-day immersion in hot water at 70 °C).

Bocube housing – innovative and varied

The robust industrial housings of the Bocube series impress with their well thought-out mechanical construction and their elegant design with hinged closures in contrasting colours. The captive opaque or crystal-clear lids are assembled using a unique, patented hinge-locking technique without screws. They can be swung open with a freely selectable hinge side.

Even in the standard version, Bocube housings have protection class IP 68. Since only single-material plastics without injected metal parts are used, the housings are particularly easy to recycle. The Bocube housing series includes more than 25 sizes and 150 standard combinations. Special sizes or combinations can be realized on request.
