PORTABLE TOOL MEASUREMENT COBOT

This portable collaborative measurement system enables the automated cutting edge measurement of drills and cutters with a shaft of up to 1 m length. The wheeled design makes the cobot portable and flexible to use in a variety of places. Components must not be unclamped and measured in a laboratory. Faults and tolerances that are not adhered to, can be detected at an early stage, and not just at the end of a production process.

AVOIDING SHARP EDGES ON TURBINE DISKS

This cobot allows the quality assurance of round, heavy components with a weight up to 120kg, like turbine disks, saw blades or grinding wheels. The handling of the new robot measuring system is especially easy and user friendly. The operator conveniently manipulates the robot arm with attached measuring sensor to the desired surface position. Two handles with integrated joystick are mounted on the sensor, so the robot is easy to move. By means of an app, a smartphone displays the live view for manual, precise positioning and measurement. The control and measurement is fully automated. At the end the user receives a measurement report with OK and NOT OK statements
