StopCock PA: Electrically conductive drain cock for solvent filling
Smooth operation for clean liquid dispensing
The StopCock PA drain valve, made from electrically conductive polyamide, enables the controlled withdrawal of liquids from canisters and drums with a suitable bottom drain thread. It is particularly suitable for applications where solvents need to be dispensed and electrostatic charges must be reliably dissipated. The parts in contact with the medium are made of electrically conductive polyamide (PA) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
For convenient liquid dispensing, the StopCock PA features an angled spout and a rotatable anti-drip device. An additional reducing spout with an external diameter of 6 to 8 mm facilitates filling into bottles with narrow openings. The smooth operation ensures precise dosing. A connecting union nut allows the tap to be aligned vertically during installation.
The StopCock PA drain tap is designed for containers with a 3/4" external thread. An adapter made of electrically conductive polyamide, supplied as standard, also enables connection to a 3/4" internal thread. This allows the drain cock to be connected to many standard canisters and drums with a corresponding bottom drain thread. With suitable thread adaptors, it can also be fitted to other containers.
Notes on explosion protection: When handling flammable or highly flammable liquids, the applicable explosion protection regulations and the requirements of the respective area of use must be observed. To minimise the risk of electrostatic ignition, the necessary conductive components must be properly earthed in accordance with the explosion protection concept. A suitable anti-static kit can be used for this purpose, for example. The suitability of the entire filling assembly must be checked for the specific application.
