A door turns into a glass façade
Very often in modern, representative buildings, industrial doors form an architectural foreign body. With real glass and the design of a glazed curtain wall the new stacking door SPACELITE HT40 Vision from Butzbach can contribute to a sophisticated solution both in design and in technology. In terms of sustainability it sets a new landmark due to its high-performing thermal insulation, its excellent air tightness and its long life cycle.
A representative architectural design becomes more and more a decisive criterium for an industrial enterprise or for car dealership buildings. With the new door type “Vision” in glass façade style Butzbach now offers a state-of-the-art design option for a seamless integration into most building skins. Together with an individual colour and surface finishing a conclusive architectural solution can be created.
With thermal insulation values of Ug = 1.1 W/m2K, the toughened safety glass used for the double glazing extends sustainability and environmental responsibility in building to an area which is often neglected: the doors. In addition, real glass is substantially more resistant against scratch marks or traces from cleaning, doesn’t show visual distortions, and soiling, blooming or fogging in the space between the panes cannot occur. So nothing can blur the clear sight to the vehicles or other products represented in the showroom. Up to a door width of 3.5 m the door elements can be executed as one unit without vertical inter-spacer, with visually adaptable inter-spacers the width is extended up to 5.0 m.
The door technology of the new type „Vision” has been taken over from the re-known stacking door SPACELITE HT40. As a consequence door elements with real glass and those with the well-known light transmitting fibre glass are easily interchangeable. While real glass offers many advantages in integrating an industrial door into a glazed curtain wall, fibre glass is the suitable solution for the garage of a car dealership. The light transmittance of the twin-walled fibre glass panels of up to 78% assure a uniform, cast-shadow free natural light. The high-performance thermal insulation makes for a minimized heat loss. This creates very convenient working conditions, while at the same time reducing significantly the energy consumption for artificial light and heating.
