Transrail has joined the CEFEM Group

Transrail Boige et Vignal is part of the Cefem Group since end of 2016

The Cefem group and its subsidiaries Cefem Industries/ SCR/ ASB/ Cefem Roumanie/ Cefem Solar Systems/ Cefem India are pleased to announce the recent acquisition of the company Transrail Boige et Vignal, a reference in the development and manufacture of transformers and inductors in particular destined for the rail market.

This acquisition is part of the strategy of the Cefem group that has spent the past 25 years aiming to become one of the leaders in passive components for powerful electronics. Mastery in medium frequency magnetic components up to 250kVA was the first axis of development. In 2014, the range of products was expanded with the film capacitors manufactured by SCR. The logical progression is that they now offer their clients more powerful magnetics, such as those that Transrail has already been offering for several years. This rapprochement also allows them to increase their industrial presence by integrating 2 new factories, one in Lyon and the other in Beijing. The group now counts on 190 associates and has an annual turnover of approximately € 17M.

This new entity gives a single point of contact for magnetic components and capacitors with a wide range of power. Cefem also hopes to simplify the development and improve the performance of its products.
