Recently, Shandong Guotai Dacheng Technology Co., Ltd ordered 2 sets of Jiwei extended Tuning Fork Liquid Level Switches for acrylonitrile level measurement. The lengthened part from the flange of the Liquid Level Switch is 5.6 meters. At present, Jiwei is the only domestic Chinese manufacturer as well as a competent front-runner to successfully manufacture 5.6-metre-long Liquid Level Switch.
Acrylonitrile (CH₂=CHCN) is a toxic, colorless to pale-yellow liquid, harmful to the eyes, skin, lungs, and nervous system. Workers may be harmed from exposure to acrylonitrile. Acrylonitrile is used in many industries. In addition, acrylonitrile is a flammable liquid and its vapors can form explosive mixtures with air under ambient conditions. This easily generates fire or explosion hazards.
The characteristics of acrylonitrile require to high performance of the level meters: the meters are required to reach Ex d IIC T6 Gb Explosion-Proof Enclosure and the Protection Level should be IP65 or higher, as well as pass SIL2 Functional Safety Assessment Certification. In addition, the container was designed without laterally opening, so the level meters are only can mounted from the above that up to 6 meters high.
Jiwei Ring-11 Tuning Fork Liquid Level Switch has dual Explosion-Proof certificates of Intrinsic Safety (Ex ia IIC T6~T1 Ga) and Flame Proof (Ex d IIC T6~T1 Gb), also with IP66/IP67 Protection Level, and has passed the SIL2/3 Functional Safety Assessment Certification.
In the production process, Jiwei engineers tuned the best resonant state to ensure the resonant frequency and amplitude are stable and reliable. The precise welding of the lengthened part is a crucial step. To prevent the lengthened part from bending and deformation, the extension pipe adopts thickened material. To ensure safety transportation, thickened pearl cotton and wooden box packaging are used, and the meter housing, flange and extension pipe are all well fastened.
