Application of Extra-Long Vibrating Rod Level Switches in Precipitates Interface Measurement of Water
The 100 pieces of Tube-11 InterfaceVibrating Rod Level Switchesare mostly exceeding 1.9 meters in length, with the longest of 2.9 meters.
Recently, a large chemical group ordered 100 pieces of Extra-Long Interface Vibrating Rod Level Switches from Jiwei, mainly used for measuring nylon slices in water. The 100 pieces of Tube-11 Interface Vibrating Rod Level Switches are mostly exceeding 1.9 meters in length, with the longest of 2.9 meters. So far, Jiwei is the only manufacturer in China that can manufacture 2.9-meter-long Interface Vibrating Rod Level Switches for measuring solids in water.
Tube-11 Vibrating Rod Level Switch is the first double-rods-design Vibrating Rod Level Switch that made-in-China. It uses piezoelectric components to drive and detect vibration, causing resonance between the inner and outer rods at a completely consistent resonant frequency. When the outer vibration rod contacts with solid, the resonance frequency of the outer vibration rod changes, thereby damaging the resonance of both the inner and outer rods, which significantly reduces the amplitude of the vibration rods as well as the output signal amplitude of the piezoelectric device. The changing signal is detected and analyzed by an intelligent circuit and then output a switch signal as a result. Tube-11 adopts a unique double-rods design with great sensitivity and reliability. Tube-11 Vibrating Rod Level Switch is mainly used for measuring the level of solid particles or powders, but after special debugging, it can also be used for precipitates interface measurement of liquids.
For single rod structure level switch, vibration energy transfers to the tank wall during operation. Due to the continuous loss of vibration energy caused by energy transfer to the tank wall, in order to maintain a reasonable and constant amplitude of vibration and continue working normally, it is necessary to appropriately increase the rod’s driving energy and continuously supplement the lost energy, which inevitably requires an increase in the driving voltage of piezoelectric ceramics, and this greatly shorten the lifespan of piezoelectric ceramics. In addition, increasing the driving voltage significantly reduces the detection sensitivity of the rod, making it unable to be applied to interface measurement.
For double-rod vibrating level switches, the resonance frequency of the inner and outer rods is completely consistent. The double rods vibrate simultaneously like symmetrical tuning forks, so that the vibration energy will not be transferred to the tank wall. Besides, only low voltage excitation is needed to drive the piezoelectric ceramics. The low voltage driving not only greatly improves the service life of the piezoelectric ceramics, but also significantly improves the detection sensitivity of the vibration rods.
Tube-11 Vibrating Rod Level Switch is a highly reliable level switch for point level detection of bulk solids with density greater than 0.02 kg/cm³. Tube-11 is often used with great success for high level sensing, low level switching and general point level indication for almost any material in the silo, bin or hopper, as well as stable and reliable performance in precipitates interface measurement of liquids.
In response to the characteristic of energy loss in 2.9–metre Tube-11 Interface Vibrating Rod Level Switches, counterweight blocks have been installed at the end of the extension tubes, effectively reducing energy loss in energy transmission and giving the great accuracy monitoring to keep operations running smoothly throughout the day.

This project aims to measure the solid level of Nylon 6 Slice in water of slicing water storage tanks and extraction towers with the process temperature of 140 ℃. Up to now, the 100 pieces of Tube-11 Interface Vibrating Rod Level Switches have been operating reliably and stably without any false alarms.
