CMC AT THE 29TH ASSODIMI/ASSONOLO NATIONAL CONGRESS

The Italian manufacturer was in Florence last November to attend the event

FLORENCE – CMC announces that it will take part in the 29th Assodimi/Assonolo National Congress on 26 November 2021, in the dual role of exhibitor and platinum sponsor of the event, in Florence, in the splendid location of the Stazione Leopolda.

CMC, a member of Assodimi since its foundation in 1992, will showcase the precision, elegance and performance of its work through its “Rosso CMC” machinery. CMC will also be a platinum sponsor of the event, yet another sign of the company’s long-term commitment to the Italian rental market, which despite the challenges, remains one of CMC’s key assets.

For the occasion, CMC will be exhibiting three platforms inside the former station: CMC S15, the light and compact in-house platform, which with its double pantograph, telescopic boom and jib, reaches 6.9 metres of lateral outreach without any problems; CMC S18F, the fully hydraulic platform of the CMC F Series, a ready-to-use platform ideal for rental; CMC S22HD, the self-propelled crawler ready for any type of working condition, any type of application, any type of surface. The CMC S22HD is ready for anything.

Fulvio Quercioli, CMC’s Sales Manager for Italy, commented on the event: “The Assodimi/Assonolo Congress is an important aggregator for the Italian rental market, an activity on which we strategically believe and in which we are ready to commit, investing.”

WHAT IS THE ASSODIMI/ASSONOLO NATIONAL CONGRESS?

Florence’s imposing Leopolda station will host the 29th National Congress of Professional Hirers. Just a few steps away from the centre of Florence and the Santa Maria Novella railway station, amidst red brick walls and flooring still furrowed by tracks in some places, there is a place where ancient and modern beauty come together. The Stazione Leopolda is an evocative and unique location that will be set up with machinery and equipment from the event’s sponsors.

Participation in the event will be free of charge for one person from each company. Both Assodimi members and non-members will be able to take part in the event to meet and talk together about how to increasingly increase the culture of the professional rental business.

WHAT IS ASSODIMI:

ASSODIMI represents the world of distribution and rental of machinery, goods, and capital equipment. It is the only association that deals with the professional rental of capital goods, and its main objective is to disseminate the rental culture and help companies enter this world in an organised manner and in compliance with current regulations. The association provides tools, services and projects to operate professionally in the rental world. Its members, made up of distributors, hirers, service companies and manufacturers, are assisted by the secretariat and a technical committee of experts with a view to achieving the common goal of improving the entire sector.

Assodimi was founded by a group of companies during the Saie exhibition in Bologna in 1992, thanks to the intuition of Franco De Michelis, who was its director for 20 years. In collaboration with DLR (the French rental association), Franco De Michelis introduced the concepts of professional rental in Italy by drawing up a standard contract for the sector, creating the Assonolo group and the first rental courses.

Participation in trade fairs, the annual congress and collaboration with associations and bodies have made Assodimi the most important aggregation for the world of distribution and rental of machinery and equipment for both the construction industry and related sectors.

THE FLORENCE LEOPOLDA STATION, THE PROFILE:

A few steps from the centre of Florence, amidst red brick walls and paving still furrowed by tracks in some places, lies a place where ancient and modern beauty come together. The Stazione Leopolda is an evocative and unique location that, from a railway station in the first half of the nineteenth century, has been transformed into a station for creative people and all those who like to let their imagination run free, meet and make their events special.

The Stazione Leopolda consists almost entirely of a single space under a metal structure roof divided into two spans 15 metres wide and 140 metres long (Area 1) and 100 metres long (Area 2); the average height is 7.50 metres, and in the final part of Area 1 it exceeds 12 metres. The 1,100 square metre external square was renovated by Gae Aulenti in 1996.

Protected for its historical-artistic value, the former station covers about 6,000 square metres divided into two main areas: Stazione Leopolda, a single space under a metal structure roof divided into two large naves; Alcatraz, a 2-storey space attached to the station and originally used as a warehouse for spare railway parts.
