New version 1.4 SP0 of 4D_Additive, many improvements and optimizations of its features

Nesting features are now faster, more precise, for an optimized distribution and compactness. The software has a new nesting strategy thanks to the Powercopy feature dedicated specifically to filling the print tray with identical or very similar part

Integration of FDM technology

4D_Additive now manages the entire FDM process. The media creation tool has been completed for the creation of specific FDM media. Similarly, the 4D_Additive slicer now offers FDM-specific slicing, recessing and filling strategies. The control of the print nozzle path is possible thanks to a high-resolution 3D reader allowing detailed display of the different layers and the final model. The slicing data is exported in the G-Code format used by most FDM printers. Specific G-Code file exports for Volumic and Ultimaker printers are available; these specific formats have been verified and validated by CoreTechnologie's technical teams, other machine brands will be added soon.

Data optimization and process management for EOS machines

By integrating the EOSPRINT 2.0 interface, print data from 4D_Additive can be sent directly to EOS printers without passing through other software tools. Our 3D printing software reads native CAD data, prepares it for the printing process, checks and optimizes the process parameters and sends the data to the EOS systems with a single tool. The EOSPRINT API integrated in 4D_Additive calculates the exact laser path during the production process and optimizes factors such as manufacturing speed and surface quality. 4D_Additive supports the most common EOS machines, such as the M 290, M 400, M 400-4, M 300-4, P 500, M 100 and, starting in November 2022, the FORMIGA P 110 Velocis.

Automatic repair of analysis data and STL reduction

The Marching Cube feature repairs poor quality scan data (3D Scan) (misaligned holes, edges and triangles) and STL models to automatically generate closed solids. In addition, the new Mesh Simplification feature reduces elements or triangles on STL models, effectively reducing the amount of data. The user can define the reduction percentage, the maximum number of triangles or the accepted chordal deviation.
