Frequently Asked Questions Process Gas Analyzers
Have questions about process gas analyzers? Read our answers to frequently asked questions from an expert in the gas analyzer industry.
1. Is Cubic-Ruiyi a reseller or manufacturer?
We are leading manufacturer of gas sensors and gas analysis instruments for many years. With PCT approved NDIR, TCD, UV-DOAS, ECD technology, our syngas analyzers and biogas analyzers have been widely used in applications like gasification, pyrolysis, steam reforming, heat treatment, anaerobic digestion, landfill, wastewater treatment, biomethane production, etc.
2. What gases can you measure?
Our syngas analyzer can measure up to 8 gases such as CO, CO2, CH4, H2, O2, CnHm, C2H2, C2H4 and any of their combination in percentage level. For biogas analyzer, we mainly measure CH4 CO2 O2 in percentage level and H2S, CO, H2 in ppm level.
3. How long is the lifetime of gas analyzer and does the equipment need routine maintenance?
The lifetime of gas analyzer depends on its operation condition and lifetime of core parts. Usually, NDIR, UV-DOAS and TCD sensors have an average lifespan of 6-8 years, and electrochemical sensors have a lifespan of 2-3 years with proper operation condition.
4. Why should we choose Cubic-Ruiyi gas analyzer?
Our process gas analyzers adopt various advanced technologies like NDIR, UV-DOAS, TDLAS, Laser Raman, TCD and ECD, so different solutions can be configured based on the application and actual measurement requirement. Take syngas analyzer for example, we use high-selectivity CH4 gas sensor and fully compensated H2 sensor based on PCT-approved NDIR and TCD technology to ensure simultaneous measurement of CO, CO2, CH4, H2, O2, CnHm, C2H2, C2H4 and any of their combination without cross-interference.
5. What is the difference between Gasboard-3200 and Gasboard-3200UV?
The main difference is that the Gasboard-3200UV adopts UV-DOAS technology while Gasboard-3200 adopts electrochemical technology for H2S measurement. Compared with EC sensor, the UV-DOAS H2S sensor is more reliable with a longer lifespan, and can continuously measure high concentration H2S without gas purging.
6. When should I choose laser Raman gas analyzer?
LRGA-6000 is an advanced analysis system based on laser Raman scattering principle, and it can provide non-destructive analysis for gases like CO, CO2, CH4, C2H2, C2H4, C2H6, C3H8, H2O, H2S, NH3, iC4, nC4 and H2, N2, O2. If you need individual measurement of CH4, C2H2, C2H4, C2H6, C3H8 or direct measurement of N2, you are recommended to choose LRGA-6100.
