Application：

With the continuous growing of plastics business, to have a strict and high efficient control of the manufacturing process, the customer company decides to apply MES system on new production line. Especially raw material measuring and weighing station, mixing station, packing station, the three mentioned stations have needs to collect barcode of materials, check materials weight through electronic scale, then upload information to MES through wireless network. The packing station will also have needs to print barcode, transfer data to MES system to realize products traceability. The production line requires compact and neat MES terminal that is adaptive to different data collecting device and printing device, easy for operation and maintenance.

System Architecture：

The MES devices in production line includes DPC-6170H industrial panel pc provided by Darveen embedded into floor-stand cabinet, scanner bracket, printer built into cabinet, drawer structure making easy maintenance of printer. The whole process as following ensures products traceability: DPC-6170H collects materials barcode through USB-scanner, electronic scale connects to DPC through USB port to collect materials’ weight, DPC uploads data to MES system through Wi-Fi module, MES produces barcode and prints it out through USB-printer.
