Error-free order picking is essential in a warehouse.

The color pager + the scanner: the standalone Pick-by-Light solution that boosts productivity without relying on a network.

Manual picking remains one of the main sources of errors and productivity losses in warehouses and order fulfillment centers.

In high-volume logistics environments, traditional solutions quickly reach their limits: paper-based systems slow down throughput, computerized tools require a comprehensive network infrastructure, and walkie-talkies do not allow for reliable validation of on-the-ground operations.

In light of this, a new approach to operator guidance is gradually gaining traction. Autonomous Pick-by-Light, based on color pagers synchronized with a barcode scanner, is emerging as a credible alternative to traditional systems, without requiring Wi-Fi, cabling, or infrastructure work.

These solutions rely on proprietary radio technology that is completely independent of GSM networks. They operate underground and in areas with no cellular coverage, without requiring a carrier subscription. Alerts are transmitted via vibration, an audible signal, or a flashing light, making them suitable for even the most challenging environments.

The EC-24CP receiver is a concrete example of this evolution: in a color pager format with a belt clip, it displays instructions directly on a large backlit TFT screen, synchronized in real time with the scanner via the Easy Call software. Dual validation—visual on the pager and physical via scan—reduces preparation errors at the source.

Beyond logistics, these systems are used in manufacturing, retail, and e-commerce platforms—anywhere where reliability and speed of order fulfillment are critical.
