Customized dredging rig for sand extraction and pipe maintenance

DRAGFLOW specialty has always been the capability of designing equipment according to customer''s needs. So our engineers analyze the system conditions and requirements and design the perfect solution.

We design and built a system that includes two Hydraulic Pumps (model HY85) attached to a steel frame with a protective shield. This shield will cover the pipe of approximately 1 m diameter. This symmetrical and reversible system uses a special version of our classic HY85 pump, modified for increased performance. The solution is unique and can be used in different ways according to specific needs.

Every pump is assisted by two attached Hydraulic Excavators (model EXHY20).

The contractor will use this hydraulic system in a project at the Caspian Sea, Kazakhstan.

The whole project has been thought paying great attention to the severe climatic conditions, static and dynamic strains and to the restricted space for operations.

The system can be easily moved along the whole length of the pipes lying on the seabed, to complete the sand extraction. Once the maintenance is over, the same equipment will put the sand back to cover the pipes.

By working in close coordination with the client, DRAGFLOW designed an optimal solution and built the right tool for this application.

This solution includes two HY85/180HC, four Hydraulic Excavators EXHY20 and the customized structure.
