KESTERNICH TEST CHAMBER

The DIN 50 018 standard establishes the conditions for the Késternich Corrosion Test. This test is designed to simulate industrial or urban atmospheres by forming an artificial atmosphere by adding sulphur dioxide to the air, with or without carbon dioxide. With the Késternich Test an artificial atmosphere is obtained with the maximum approximation to the results obtained when metals are exposed in natural sulphurous atmospheres.
