SALT SPRAY CORROSION TESTING FOR AMMUNITION.
SALT SPRAY CHAMBER, SSC-1000 NG
Our client contacted us with a need to test a large number of 60 mm projectiles to evaluate how the samples perform when exposed to corrosion. Furthermore, they required additional safety systems to minimize any potential risks.
The specific requirements were:
- 1000-liter capacity.
- Reinforced floor.
- Additional safety features.
- Specialized angled supports.
OUR SOLUTION: Our standard salt spray chamber, the DYCOMETAL SSC-1000NG. With a 1,000-liter usable capacity, it can accommodate up to 30 angled 60 mm projectiles, thanks to supports custom-designed for this project. The system also incorporates extra safety measures to prevent any risks that might arise inside the chamber. Everything is controlled via a PLC with a touchscreen interface, which displays test profiles and allows for data export to facilitate the creation of test reports.
