ECM Technologies and the the Chinese heat treater Chun Yu Heat Treatment sign a partnership

ECM Technologies, a subsidiary of the ECM Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Chinese heat treater Chun Yu, to open a Synergy Center in Shanghai.

The ECM Group is strengthening its presence in China, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chinese heat treater Chun Yu Heat Treatment (CYHT). CYHT employs close to 90 people and has been active in the heat treatment business since 2002. It is located in Shanghai and its clients include well known international and domestic automobile OEMs, as well as first- and second-tier automobile parts manufacturers. The company owns several heat treatment workshops and has its own metallurgical lab and Full-size inspection and measurement room. It invested in 2024 in three vacuum carburizing systems from ECM Technologies. A large size double chamber ECO 1299 with oil quenching, a medium size double chamber ECO 966 with gas quenching and a medium size single chamber MONO 966 with gas quenching.

The cooperation between both companies will allow CYHT to benefit from support in process development by ECM Technologies. In the other hand, it will allow ECM Technologies to make some tests for its local customers and to showcase its technologies in China through this new Synergy Center.

ECM Technologies already has several Synergy Centers: in France, Taiwan and the USA. These research and innovation centers aim at testing heat treatment processes on its customers parts to define the parameters and guarantee process results before customers invest in new furnaces.

On 28 November 2024, ECM Technologies received the President of CYHT and its General Manager to sign the purchase of new heat treatment systems and the aforementioned MOU. This official visit renews the trust between the two organizations and gives concrete expression to the partnership and knowledge-sharing between CYHT and ECM Technologies.
