EIC Solutions introduces High Delta T Thermoelectric air conditioners to combat harsh cooling environments

EIC Solutions, Inc., a leading manufacturer of thermoelectric air conditioners, electronic enclosures and transit

cases, introduced today their first High Delta T Thermoelectric Air Conditioners as part of the ThermoTEC™ series. These new air conditioners, ThermoTEC 142 and 146 series coolers, feature High Delta T capabilities to achieve greater drops from ambient temperatures compared to standard models.

The 142 series (500BTU) and the 146 series (1000BTU) are both offered in 120VAC or 240VAC and feature rugged, type 304 stainless steel, and NEMA 4X construction. These units are manufactured in the USA and are ideal for remote locations and harsh environments.

“EIC Solutions recognized the need for a solid state air conditioner that could achieve a higher Delta T,” said Lori Galdo, EIC Sales Engineer. “Previously when customers required a significant drop in temperature from ambient they were limited to a compressor-based solution to achieve their goals. The compressor based units, while effective, require more maintenance and don’t perform as well in high ambient temperatures. Utilizing a modified TEC chip design, this new product provides a maintenance free, solid state solution to address applications that require a large Delta T, in any environment.”

ThermoTEC High Delta T units are easily integrated into existing enclosures or can be configured with other EIC enclosures for a complete plug and play solution. The ThermoTEC High Delta T units are available with heating capability to achieve the ideal operating temperature for equipment. Both the 142 and the 146 units are available with optional extension frames and drip pans as well as 12-inch narrow flanges to accommodate a variety of mounting configurations and enclosure sizes.
