RKME screens are installed in the channel with depth from 270 mm, width from 300 mm and with bar spacing from 1 mm.

Such characteristics allow to use small rake type bar screens for:

pumps protection on SPS from damages caused by coarse waste hitting;

fine mechanical treatment on the domestic wastewater treatment facilities;

local mechanical wastewater treatment on the separate plants.

The screens are intended for use in wastewater with рН=6,5-8,5.

OPERATION

Small rake type bar screen retains and extracts from wastewater waste sized more than openings of filtering mesh. Such waste is removed periodically from filtering mesh by the rake.

Rake removes it to the frame’s top edge. Then the waste is removed from the rake and discharged to the transporter or waste bin by gravity slide. Screen’s operation periodicity depend on automation scheme.
