Eventually, Emdoor Info finally launched the first 5G industry products in last week of this month after our industrious and professional R&D team’conducted successful debugging in the early stage. I am an amateur interested in wireless communication technology. I Insisted on to do filed-test when got the prototype in the first time. Therefore, I hold an Emdoor Info’s traditional 4G version prototype in my left hand, and a freshly made 5G version prototype in my right hand. I plan to drive across half of Shenzhen in one day, and select five different locations at the same location in each location to test the local 5G and 4G data comparison at same time.
No contrast, no harm. Who do I want to hurt? 4G, of course.
The practical significance of field test is self-evident. It is to simulate the application experience in the relevant real environment and has data reference significance. The market is flooded with high rate of 5 g product propaganda.It just a false advertising only if the manufacturer provides the beautiful "laboratory test data" or "theoretical data" and does not provide real test data. Just talking about the high-speed performance of the 5G baseband chip is inconsistent with the actual application if it deviates from the peripheral conditions such as the design of the motherboard, RF parameters, and 5G antenna etc.
As for the test prototype, it is the classic em-I22K model of Emdoor Info. A 12.2-inch, Intel Core CPU-based, Kaby Lake tablet running Windows 10 (IP65 class). Gorilla Glass, wide temperature battery, one/two dimensional code scanning engine, fingerprint identification, NFC, serial port,network port, vehicle bracket mount, Pogo PIN peripheral expansion, etc. At the same time, under the support of the waterproof external keyboard, it is also a rugged notebook ( All familiar figure shown in Alibaba that from the original factory Emdoor Info).
The difference is just one with a built-in 4G version and the other with a built-in 5G version.But the appearance of the models are consistent for IP 65 Rugged Tablet PC, Waterproof External Keyboard and IP65 Rugged Notebook.

What is the 5G performance of Em-I22K? For the fairness of this field test, both 4G and 5G SIM CARDS are from telecom operators. Going to test usual download rate according to the online map of 5G base station coverage area provided by the official WeChat official account of telecom.
The final test locations were finalized in four major areas, Baoan Park (Baoan District), Nanshan Science&Technology Park (Nanshan District), Shenzhen Bay Park&Civic Center (Futian District), and Diwang Tower (Luohu District).

First station: Baoan Park

If data let you feels relatively abstract, so we download 8 episodes per 300MB total of 2.4GB of teleplay with 4G and 5G devices for more intuitive .
5G has been completely downloaded when 4G still download in parallel, and not yet download an episode. In addition, because 1MB=8Mb, the 5G device actually completed the download teleplay within half a minute, and the download time is basically same as the theoretical time we estimated.

5G signals has the advantages of large bandwidth and high rate, but as we know 5G signals are shortwaves, which are highly affected by the spatial environment. 5G more prone to attenuation and signal transmission is limited when the local area is empty. Although the avg download speed of 5G in the sparsely populated and empty Shenzhen Bay Park is not as ideal as Baoan Park, it still reach 280Mbps.
Third Station: Civic Center

The avg download rate of 5G is 540Mbps,
The avg download rate of 4G is 29Mbps,
18.6 times difference between the two, 5G perfectly crushes 4G again.
