Epitecnica tests the Fire Resistance of 120 minutes of an APQ Container Warehouse

Hazardous Products Storage

Epitécnica's APQ Modular Warehouses are the only ones that have passed a 120-minute Fire Resistance test, as a complete structural set, and therefore COMPLY with the requirements of the MIE-ITC-APQ.

A fire resistance test is carried out in a LISTED OVEN in a Notified Laboratory, under the classification of regulation 13501-2 and the fire curve of regulation 1363-1.

RD 656/2017 clearly REQUIRES A TEST of the complete set of the warehouse or container, with a fire resistance of 120 minutes.

Now for the storage of more than 500 liters, inside buildings, or at distances less than 5 meters from the exterior walls, of mobile and individual containers (cans, carafes, cans, drums, IBCs) containing products classified as dangerous , Warehouses with Fire Resistance classified as REI-120 (means 120 minutes of fire resistance certified according to UNE-EN 13501-2 and UNE-EN 1363-1) must be used as specified in APQ-10.

If the complete set has not been tested, the APQ is not met.

Technical Reports without essays are not legal in Spain.
