Made in France - for real ?
"French" wood chippers, yes, but to what extent?
Today, we see a proliferation of brands and sellers, based in France or Europe, offering "their" branch chippers, often at (very) low prices.
These brands claim to be French or European, proudly displaying their country's flag, and one might be tempted to think that by buying their equipment, one is "buying local."
Alas… When you look closely at the chippers from these different brands, you quickly notice certain similarities in design. Only the paint and accessories vary slightly. You also notice that these chippers are assembled primarily with bolts, containing very few welded components. Why? For transport: designed this way, they can be exported flat, thus taking up less space in the containers that bring them… from China.
Because while these brands are indeed French or European, and while they do have "local" assembly workshops, the majority of the equipment is actually produced in China. We are regularly approached by Chinese manufacturers to resell their wood chippers under our brand.
This is, of course, completely contrary to our principles!
If one is committed to buying local, it's therefore essential to distinguish between a wood chipper whose final assembly only is done in France (or Europe), and one entirely designed and built in France! This is both a way to support the local economy and an assurance of robust and durable equipment, with reliable after-sales service.
Our branch chippers are designed and built in our workshop in the Yonne region. We have the parts laser-cut by a subcontractor based in the Mayenne region, the machining of our cutting discs is done in the Nièvre region, and our blades are treated by a company located in the Indre-et-Loire region. Our suppliers are primarily French, although some products are inevitably sourced from China.
Our welded steel construction ensures the exceptional strength of our wood chippers, allowing them to chip branches that truly reach their maximum advertised diameter, even in the hardest woods.
Our artisanal approach offers flexibility in the manufacturing of our equipment, opening the door to all sorts of customizations tailored to our customers' specific needs.
In short, you're not just buying a "French" chipper; you're also buying the quality, support, and dynamism that come with it!
