RF NEO₂

THE VERSATILE & ECO-FRIENDLY ASPHALT PLANT FOR PRODUCING HIGH-QUALITY ASPHALT AT REDUCED COSTS

The RF NEO2 asphalt plants are equipped with the RETROFLUX Ermont technology, which enables the drying, heating, and mixing of aggregates, RAP, and binders in a single drum, while ensuring versatility, high-quality asphalt at low costs, and respect of the environment.

VERSATILITY
• All types of production: hot-mix, warm-mix, semi-warm-mix, and colored asphalt.
• All types of binder: emulsion, clear binder, bitumen, plant-based binders.
• Long-duration asphalt storage up to 48 hours, a feature pioneered by Ermont in Europe, allowing for anticipated production to address operational uncertainties (weather, application plant breakdowns, etc.).
• On-load start and stop functionality offering true operational flexibility.
• Automation system with over 40 years of experience in automated management, allowing for precise control of starts, stops, and transitional operations, ensuring accurate ingredient dosing.

HIGH-QUALITY ASPHALT
The RF NEO2 range of asphalt plants produce impeccable quality asphalt thanks to high-precision dosing and long mixing times for the various components, as well as the state-of-the-art multifunction automation system developed by Ermont. They ensure complete remobilization of the binder when incorporating RAP.

DECARBONIZATION
1. Recycling
Recycling of up to 50% RAP. Reduction of CO2 emissions by up to 50% related to the production of raw materials.
2. Energy
CO2 emissions associated with drying/heating materials can be minimized through:
• The use of all types of fuels, including decarbonized fuels such as biofuels and hydrogen (hydrogen burner featured at the
Ermont stand).
• High-energy efficiency solutions: high-tech burners, low thermal losses (complete thermal insulation of the drum/bag
filter), high drying efficiency, high-energy-efficient binder storage, reduced and optimized installed power, etc.
• The production of all types of asphalt: hot-mix, warm-mix, and semi-warm-mix.

RESPECT OF THE ENVIRONMENT
RF NEO2 asphalt plants are designed to drastically reduce their environmental impact.
• Low visual impact due to their compactness and low height, allowing them to be integrated into a building.
• Reduction of odor nuisances by incinerating VOCs and hydrocarbons from bitumen and binders in the burner flame.
• Reduction of noise nuisances by using frequency inverters on fans and a silencer on the burner air intake.
• Protection of the soil through the total elimination of thermal oils in the installation.
• Minimal dust emissions through confinement.

SAFETY
ERMONT places the safety of users at the heart of the design and operation of its asphalt plants, all of which are equipped with
permanent protection for entry points, mobile guards, lock-out devices, emergency stops, and spacious access points throughout.

RETURN ON INVESTMENT
RF NEO2 asphalt plants guarantee the lowest production costs per ton, ensuring a rapid return on investment.
• Simple operation (only one operator and a loader are needed).
• Reduced energy consumption.
• Easy maintenance and servicing.
• High recycling rate (material savings).
• Operational flexibility that meets all types of demand.

RF NEO2 asphalt plants combine performance, quality, environmental respect, and reduced costs. They offer versatile production with high recycling rates, low energy consumption, and minimized nuisances. They integrate advanced technologies to produce asphalt that meets the highest quality and environmental standards. Through their versatility, low environmental impact, simple operation, ease of maintenance, and enhanced safety, RF NEO2 plants meet the current challenges of the industry, providing significant added value to sector stakeholders while ensuring competitive production costs.
