60 YEARS OF LASER
From the idea to a versatile tool
What sounded like science fiction 60 years ago is now a technology that has become indispensable in our everyday lives. The first laser beam was generated in May 1960 and has developed into a high-tech tool with countless possible applications since its inception.
The laser beam consists of electromagnetic waves, hence the word LASER (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) is a physical term. Lasers can be differentiated according to wavelength as well as energy used. Today the laser is used in a wide variety of industries and products. These include e.g. communication technology, measurement technology, in the medical field and not least as a processing tool.
The basis of our success - since 25 years
eurolaser has been successfully using laser technology for processing non-metallic materials for over 25 years.
In our short report we have compiled some exciting information on the functional principle of the laser operation and its use in our CO2 laser systems for material processing.
