EWM AG expands its range of MIG/MAG welding torches to include the PM series for professional users. The new models are also available as function torches.
With the new PM torch, EWM delivers noticeable relief for work. Its grip is shaped so that man and machine nearly form one unit. With an anti-kink device, balanced design and reduced weight, the new development also contributes to a fatigue-free work process. The integrated LED lighting ensures that everything is also clearly visible – even in dark spots on the workpiece. The PM standard torch can be used with all commercially available MIG/MAG welding machines – thanks to the Euro torch connector.
Ready for Industry 4.0
The PM function torches with OLED graphic display make remote control of welding parameters possible. With the high-end RD3X version the welder can use ewm Xnet to access a welding sequence plan and stored WPS: the setting process is less complex and constant quality is ensured – this way Industry 4.0 can be integrated into everyday welding.
The right welding torch for any need
Regardless of what the user's requirements are, the new PM welding torch from EWM is available in numerous variants: the choice includes gas and water-cooling as well as short and long necks. The welding current range extends to 550 A. All torches are available as function torches. Robust fabrication, lasting quality and generous dimensioning of all components – the new PM welding torch also brings together all these properties which are typical of EWM products. It scores high points even in a continuous 3-shift operation, also in terms of efficiency. The use of consumables is reduced considerably thanks to much improved heat dissipation. Low shielding gas consumption thanks to the prevention of gas losses and reduced requirement for finishing work thanks to minimised spatter as a result of the optimised nozzle design open up additional potential for savings.
