Manage digital components, create welding sequence plans and assign WPS – the completely new-developed component management system makes welding businesses more efficient, from planning to production. Existing component drawings are imported from the CAD system to an office PC or created in ewm Xnet and provided with all relevant information. This data is then transmitted electronically via LAN or WiFi to the welding machine, where all parameters are instantly available. Production can go ahead immediately without the need to read in plans and set up the welding machine – previously a time-consuming process.

The system collects welding data in real time, manages it and transmits all consumption data and the effective arc time to the office. In this way, unutilised potential is quickly and clearly identified. The software also provides a useful database for precise recalculations and the preparation of quotes.

When devising and managing welding procedure specifications and allocating welders, WPQ-X Manager from ewm Xnet saves work preparation time. The intuitively usable graphics editor displays all runs and seams quickly and precisely. The Xbutton on the welding machine, in connection with ewm Xnet, supports quality assurance for every weld seam. Via this button the system ensures that only welders with the appropriate qualifications may carry out particular welding tasks.

 

The new ewm Xnet component management system significantly improves efficiency. To continue working, welders only need to acknowledge every completed layer on the workpiece itself using the PM function torch.

 

For quality assurance purposes, welding coordination personnel can view real-time welding data, welding sequence plans and WPS for the welding site on a tablet or smartphone at any time.
