How to Get the Most Out of Your Air Operated Conveyor

Line Vacs convey bulk material through hose or pipe in a high velocity, turbulent airflow. This means the material can have a lot of momentum at the point of discharge. If the particulate is very small (fine granules or powder), then there’s a high potential for significant dust-up at the point of discharge. If it’s larger particles (pellets or slugs), then they can come out at a high velocity.
During this webinar we will discuss and demonstrate methods to mitigate these challenges:
1. Powders and dusty materials:
a. Convey into a covered receptacle that’s vented through filtration media.
b. Use a cyclonic separator
2. Bulky, dense solids: Aspirate the conveyance hose, close to the end of the line, to exhaust the conveyance airflow, lowering the velocity & turbulence.
