Core Design and Engineering Standards of Liquid Cooling Manifold for AI Data Centers
±5% Flow Deviation, Three Topologies and Dual-O-Ring Seals: The Engineering Standards of AI Manifolds
Liquid cooling manifolds are the core flow hub of indirect cooling, distributing coolant to cold plates with flow deviation within ±5% (±2% for high-end AI). Three topologies—tree-branch, closed-loop annular and stacked plate—match medium, high-reliability and high-density AI GPU cabinets. CFD simulation and digital twin keep deviation below ±3%, while 316L stainless steel, dual-O-ring seals and UQD blind-mate interfaces enable hot swapping with leakage under 0.1mL. Single-manifold designs serve 30kW-and-below racks; dual-manifold cold-hot separation handles 50kW+. The ASUS AI POD validates field performance. EXTRCOOL offers dual-mode CDUs, manifold assemblies, cold plates, rear-door heat exchangers, dry coolers and containerized systems.
