CDU Core Technology Empowers Stable and Efficient Operation of Liquid Cooling Data Centers

Zero-Contamination Plate Exchange and 30-50% Pump Savings: The CDU Engineering Behind Liquid Cooling Data Centers

CDUs are the core hub of liquid cooling data centers, enabling zero-contamination heat transfer through plate heat exchangers that physically isolate primary and secondary loops. This solves pressure loss, scaling and corrosion from distant outdoor cold sources while protecting servers with insulating dielectric coolant. Primary water at 32-37℃ transfers heat, with secondary coolant delivered to cabinets at 18-25℃. Variable-frequency pumps cut power consumption by 30-50%, and engineering calculation—such as a 500kW project sized to a 600kW CDU with N+1 redundancy—ensures reliable operation. EXTRCOOL offers dual-mode CDUs, manifolds, cold plates, rear-door heat exchangers, dry coolers and containerized cooling units.
