Innovative Cold Plate Cooling Technologies Two-phase & Air-liquid Hybrid Solutions for Modern Data Centers

2.5kW per GPU, PUE 1.07, Leak-Safe Refrigerants: The Two-Phase and Air-Liquid Cooling Roadmap

Two-phase cold plate cooling uses fluorinated refrigerants that vaporize inside cold plates and turn into harmless gas if leaked—handling 2.5kW per GPU, 175kW per rack and up to 8 W/(cm²·℃). The gravity heat pipe derivative hits 100kW per rack with PUE as low as 1.07, requiring no pumps, ideal for edge computing. Air-liquid hybrid solutions address legacy renovation, tight pipeline space and limited outdoor areas: air-cooled CDUs serve upgrades, while OCP-standardized tandem terminals use 27℃ water through rear doors before CDU primary cooling. EXTRCOOL offers dual-mode CDUs, manifolds, cold plates, rear-door heat exchangers, dry coolers and containerized cooling units.
