A CDU is a cooling station packing seven organs—heat exchange, power, pressure stabilization, refill, purification, regulation and control—in rack-type 30-100kW, row-type 200kW-1MW and centralized forms above 1MW. The plate heat exchanger reaches 3,000-5,000 W/(m²·K) at 95% efficiency with a 2-4°C approach; the pump delivers 0.5-0.8 L/min per kW at N+1 minimum redundancy with canned or magnetic zero-leakage designs; the expansion tank holds ±0.1 bar and refill signals leaks early; and filters guard 100μm channels with 25-50μm elements.
