The manifold sits at the rack rear between the CDU and the server cold plates. The CDU handles total flow; the manifold splits coolant evenly to every cold plate layer, gathers it after heat absorption and returns it to the CDU, closing the loop. Its jobs: even distribution preventing bias flow and GPU hot spots, collection back to the CDU for re-cooling, per-branch ball valves enabling hot-swap maintenance, and venting with paired leak monitoring.
