The Hot Water Revolution, Liquid Cooling Becomes the AI Entry Ticket

45°C Coolant, No Fans, Zero Water Waste: How Rubin Turns Liquid Cooling From an Option Into the Entry Ticket

NVIDIA's official blog confirms Vera Rubin is the first hundred-percent liquid-cooled AI compute platform: every chip and network component runs on a liquid closed loop with no fans and coolant at 45 degrees. GPU power climbs from 400 watts on the A100 to past 2,300 on Rubin, against an air cooling limit of 15 to 20 kilowatts per rack, and the dry-cooler loop drives facility water near zero. Cold plates, CDUs, manifolds and quick connectors absorb over 90 percent of the rack's liquid cooling value, climbing from 80,000 dollars on GB200 to 140,000 to 160,000 on Rubin. EXTRCOOL provides one-stop liquid cooling solutions.
