FAULHABER China strengthens presence with new premises and assembly capacities

OPENING CELEBRATION FOR THE NEW ASSEMBLY CENTER IN TAICANG

FAULHABER Drive System Technology (Taicang) Co., Ltd. held a ceremony to celebrate the relocation to a new building and the opening of an assembly center in China. Karl Faulhaber, CEO and chairman of the FAULHABER Group, and former CEO Gert Frech-Walter participated in the event and talked about the relevance of the site in Taicang.

Thirteen years ago, the FAULHABER took the important step of establishing a sales and service company in China, located in Taicang,” Karl Faulhaber said. The strong support of the local government and the Chamber of Commerce was very helpful, because FAULHABER could benefit from the experience of other German and European companies in the Chinese market. “They helped us to understand the business environment in China as well as import and export regulations and supported us in our search for highly qualified personnel.” This way, FAULHABER China has been able to grow its sales rapidly and expand its business to further sales offices all over China. Additionally, local engineering and testing resources have been increased in order to better support complex customer requirements. “We are excited to continue our success and growth story in China. The success of our Chinese customers is an important part of our success as a global company,“ Karl Faulhaber continued.

With the relocation to a new building, the reception area for customers and partners was optimized and the space for trainings and presentations on site was increased. The opening of an assembly center will make customized application testing possible in the future and will enhance the development of innovative solutions for FAULHABER customers in China by expansion of local modification and assembly activities.

While initially offering standard products and retrofits, FAULHABER has since expanded its offering in the Chinese market to customized solutions, focusing on electronics and motion control. Between 2010 and 2022, the number of customers grew from 450 to more than 2,300.

“We learned about the need for fast service and logistics from our Chinese customers,” said former CEO Gert Frech-Walter. “With our innovative drive solutions, we contribute to a sustainable development in China and worldwide, creating a positive, safe, and successful future.”
