FEIN presents 12 V cordless drill/drivers

Powerful and fast tool for metalworking

Now that cordless drill/drivers are increasingly taking the place of pure drills in metalworking tasks, FEIN has designed its new 12 V cordless drill/drivers for precisely these very demanding requirements. They are the most powerful in their class and offer high speeds, optimum torques and a removable drill chuck. FEIN is launching one 4-speed drill/driver, a 2-speed drill/driver and one impact wrench/driver.

Outstanding ergonomics and robust metal drill chuck

The new 12 V battery sits below the handle in the compact models. This makes the handle area much slimmer and more ergonomic. The cordless drill/drivers can be set down without tipping over and are easy to pick up again. Another great feature for daily work is the magnetic bit store provided as standard along with a belt hook. All FEIN 12 V cordless drill/drivers are fitted with a robust solid metal drill chuck from premium German manufacturer Röhm and are therefore less prone to damage. A chucking force safety device reliably holds the round drill shafts and prevents them from being opened by mistake.

Four large, high-speed cordless drill/driver models

For optimum drilling and screw connection results in metal, the FEIN cordless drill/driver range contains four models with 12 V batteries in three product lines:

ASCM 4-speed cordless drill/driver

The ASCM 12 C 4-speed cordless drill/driver is the only 12 V screwdriver on the market with a 4-speed gearbox. It delivers the highest motor rating in this class. With the brushless FEIN PowerDrive motor, it achieves a speed of up to 2500 rpm. The patented 4-speed arrangement, already tried and tested in FEIN's 18 V and 14.4 V ASCM 4-speed cordless drill/drivers, provides the optimum cutting speed for every drilling diameter. The FEIN ASCM 12 holds drills up to 13 mm in diameter. The drill chuck can be taken off and the screwdriver bits fit directly into the drive shaft.

ABSU: two-speed cordless drill/driver

The range also includes a very ergonomic 2-speed cordless drill/driver for powerful drilling and screw connections in all materials. Its powerful 2-pole DC motor with overload protection and extremely short and lightweight design are truly impressive.

It is available in two variants. The FEIN ABSU 12 C cordless drill/driver has a robust solid metal drill chuck with high clamping force. Its metal sleeve offers good protection from scratches. FEIN's ABSU 12 W4C cordless drill/driver with ¼" hexagonal socket tool mounting is perfect for screw connections and reliably and securely clamps the bit holder, screw bits and drill bits. With a short length starting at 155 mm, it is suited to screw connection tasks in difficult-to-reach spots.

ASCD cordless impact wrench/driver

FEIN's ASCD 12-100 W4C cordless impact wrench/driver completes the manufacturer's 12 V range. With 100 Nm of torque, it reliably and quickly secures and releases metric screws of up to M12. It makes low-recoil work possible and allows the user to select from continuously variable speeds of up to 2700 rpm for rapid work progress. The FEIN ASCD attains its maximum torque after just five seconds. The impact wrench/driver has a 2-pole DC motor with overload protection. At 158 mm in length, it is very short and enables comfortable and safe work even in tight spaces.

Innovative FEIN lithium-ion battery technology

FEIN batteries are equipped with FEIN SafetyCell Technology. Plus points include their long service life, a high capacity of 2.5 Ah and use at temperatures down to minus 18 degrees Celsius. A separate communication cable protects the battery and tool from overload, overheating and total discharge. The battery charge indicator is also located on the battery itself and can therefore be seen by the user at all times.
