Tightening workstations are more and more ergonomics

For automatic screwdrivers

The cartesian arm BC40 LK with pneumatic locking device mean to be used with auto-feed screwdrivers and automatic forward bit stroke, electric or pneumatic. It provides a down force on the workpiece to support operators so that they do not have to apply force when tightening.

The "assisted" tightening operation becomes even more ergonomic; the arm is equipped with a special device that counteracts the up force caused by the tool bit during tightening and redirects this force to the mechanical arm rather than to the operator.

And for full safety, when there is no air or power supply, the system stops automatically to prevent the pneumatic device from sliding away and avoiding any risk of crushing and/or accidental movement.

The arm is equipped also with an adjustable vertical stroke limiter to prevent the horizontal arm from getting too close to the working area and to avoid damaging the workpiece with the tool.

Entirely designed and built by Fiam: continuous innovation for more ergonomic tightening workstations!

All the advantages of our ergonomic arms

- The operator doesn’t need to use force to hold and lift the tool

- Drastically reduce and some cases eliminate vibrations

- Eliminate any counterblow to the operator’s hands

- Allow keeping a good wrist position

- Keep the tool perpendicular

- Improve the working accuracy and quality of the production process

- Extend the coverage of the working area, reducing the hand/ human arm fatigue.
