How to make pick-and-place tightening operations smart, safe and low-noise?

Thanks to the new Smart SSU-E vacuum pump, Fiam's advanced Screw Suction Unit, you will be able to do this effectively with both manual and automatic applications.

With the new screw presence detection system, you will not only be able to vacuum and hold screws before tightening, but also operate at reduced noise levels.

In fact, the advanced screw presence detection system automatically manages the switching on and off of the suction system according to the working cycles, allowing energy saving and noise reduction.

It operates at 230 volts -50 Hz or 120 volts -60 Hz and can be used with eTensil screwdrivers and nutrunner motors and can connect to the production site PLC.

PICK AND PLACE ASSEMBLIES: HERE'S HOW THEY WORK

Pick and place tightening operations, manual or automatic, can be effectively accomplished with an automatic screw feeder and a tightening system equipped with a screw suction unit.

Using a special tightening head designed by Fiam for the application, the screw is held in close contact with the tool bit by the vacuum created by the connected SSU vacuum pump, is picked up and firmly retained while moving to the tightening point. This system ensures effective draws, no screw loss during movements, secure blade/screw head engagement.

Versatility of use is assured: in fact, Fiam's pick-and-place systems can handle screws of any material, even non-magnetizable ones.

The special head designed by Fiam allows screws to be vacuumed, held and immediately tightened.

It is easily applied to the tool via a connection kit and connects to the SSU vacuum pump.

On the head is applied a special nozzle to be customized according to the screws or workpiece to be assembled, to be sent to Fiam as a sample.

Bits are also evaluated and proposed according to the type of screws.
