Fiam tightening machine for MVI subcontractor sector

Fasten with high accuracy two types of sensors on aluminum ramps ( 4 different types ) for cooling circuits of air -conditioning systems of motor vehicles .

The tightening torque must be pre- and in-depth. It also needs to be checked for the O-ring on the sensor as well as management of waste pieces .

The solution: it is built a semi-automatic assembly machine consists of :

- A one mouvement fastening slide with a brushless electric nutrunner motor with torque and angle control

- A feed and control unit TCS B -E fitted with device for storing data

- A custom jig

- A camera that detects the presence of the O-ring on the sensor

Operation:

-The operator selects the type of sensor to be assembled and select the tightening program on the control panel

- Place the ramp to be assembled on the jig and the sensor in the tightening bush

- A device Poka-Yoke placed on the jig , check the correct loading of the workpiece depending on the program chosen by the operator and enables the start

- The operator triggers the automatic assembly operations with two-hand control

- The machine performs the automatic tightening of the sensor

- The camera detects the OK presence of o-ring on the sensor

- If the screw is NOK , the operator selects the reset operation and lays waste the piece in proper container: a sensor detects this step otherwise the machine will not allow the new operation.

Advantages of the solution:

- The accuracy in the assembly is guaranteed by the high-technology brushless electric nutrunner motor and the unit TCSB –E

- is ensure the presence o-ring on each sensor

- You can store the torque values and errors due to TCS B-E capable of storing serial data processed, associate them with the date and time and store them on digital memory card , which can then be used on PC ''s organization of data

- Due to Poka -Yoke devices is ensured proper management of spare OK and NOK
