Pipe Robot SIGMA HD-LR: Long Range Versatility

The long range pipe inspection robot is powered by a LiFePO4 battery and can travel up to 6,500 ft. It features two camera heads – one with pan, tilt and 10x optical and 12x digital zoom and one with an independent rear view.

The Pipe Robot SIGMA HD-LR is the optimal tool for long distance inspections, as it can travel up to 6,560 feet in one go and fits a range of pipes starting at 14”. This is due to a rechargeable LiFePO4 battery which allows reducing the diameter and weight of the cable and saves energy. The battery also provides added friction through its weight.

Two onboard HD cameras capture the inspection in detail. One camera is capable of frontal pan, tilt and zoom, while a rear-facing camera provides a view of the back of the inspection. The camera is waterproof, withholding up to 0.1bar in freshwater, and making it ideal for inspections in leaky pipes. Built-in ultra-bright LEDs 4000M illuminate the inspection area, while a camera position sensor and a camera internal pressure sensor aid the operator in getting the optimal view. The full HD resolution (1080p) further enhances the inspection. Built-in TELESCAN software makes the unit one of a kind.

The stainless steel crawler is run on two 160 watt FAULHABER motors. It has a four-wheel drive, cruise control and is capable of going up to 1km/hr. It is IP 68 waterproof and comes with an optional 512Hz Sonde. To further ease the operator's job, this pipe robot has an inclinometer, a gyrometer and an internal pressure monitor, which allow for more exact measurements and calculations.

The Kevlar-reinforced cable is housed in polyurethane and has a diameter of 5.0mm (0.19”). The reel is motorized and can pay out and retract due to a smart cable-laying mechanism that allows it to regulate itself. It can be used in temperatures of -10°C to +40°C, making it the perfect fit for a range of jobs in different conditions. Optional additional LED lighting, wheel sets and tracks are available.
