Upgraded TROGLOTREK Combines Rugged Pipe Inspection with a Three-Year Warranty
TROGLOTREK has been mechanically upgraded to provide greater system ruggedness for sewer, stormwater, and industrial pipe inspection.
A three-year limited hardware warranty now covers the portable crawler system for defects in materials and quality, subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
The update addresses a practical concern for inspection contractors and infrastructure operators: equipment must remain transportable without becoming vulnerable to repeated loading, site setup, cable deployment, and wet operating conditions.
TROGLOTREK combines a steerable, battery-powered crawler with a 984 ft (300 m) tether reel. Because the crawler and control platform operate from rechargeable batteries, crews do not need to position a generator or external AC supply beside every access point.
Key system capabilities include:
• Single-operator transport and deployment
• IP68-rated crawler and camera head
• IP67 machined-metal control unit
• Manual or powered cable-reel configurations
• Live video, footage counting and inclinometer data
• SD-card video and image recording
• WinCan-compatible inspection workflow support
• Pipe-centring configurations from 4 to 39 in. (100–990 mm)
• Inspection capability up to 80 in. (2,000 mm) with an optional conversion kit
The powered reel automatically retrieves the tether, reducing manual handling during long or repeated inspection runs. A manual reel remains available for applications where mechanical simplicity and occasional deployment are priorities.
For access points with sharp or irregular edges, TROGLOTREK can be paired with an optional Cable Roller (sold separately). The articulated stainless-steel accessory flexes up to 90°, allowing it to follow the edge of a maintenance hole or pipe entrance. Smooth rollers guide the tether around the bend while limiting direct contact with abrasive concrete or metal.
The three-year warranty, rugged mechanical design, and configurable cable-management options allow buyers to select the system to suit their actual inspection frequency, pipe range, and site conditions.
