Medit, Inc. Introduces New Stormer S3000 Pipe Crawler for Fast, Convenient, and Affordable Inspections

April 20, 2015 — Today, Medit, Inc. announced immediate availability of the new enhanced viewing device – the Stormer S3000 Pipe Crawler. Manufactured in England from high-quality, durable materials, it ensures safe, quick and informative inspections with very little effort. Besides, it demonstrates quite competitive price in comparison with other devices of its class.

All components of the Stormer S3000 Pipe Crawler are made from durable materials, which guarantees longevity and stable operations even after multiple inspections in various environments. Highly adjustable design can be easily modified right on site and allows for inspecting pipes of 150 mm to 1000 mm (5.9"-40") diameters.

The system is equipped with a pan-and-tilt camera with highly sensitive (0.5 lux) CMOS video chip and high-output adjustable LED illumination. It rotates in all directions, capturing every detail of the pipeline interior. The camera is completely waterproof and comes in a Stainless steel housing with Aluminum anodized finish. The image is transferred to the LED backlit 10.4” TFT flat panel monitor, can be recorded as MPEG2 file, and processed with WinCan compatible software. The system also allows up to 6 page of text input and saving inspection data to a USB stick, that easily connects to the control unit. All camera''s controls, keyboard, electronics, and monitor are housed in a robust, heavy-duty Pelican case.

The Stormer S3000 works with a standard 200 m, durable, wear and tear-resistant, multi-core, Kevlar braided cable. Optional length - 250 m (820'') is also available.

The crawler is equipped with 2 mounts: one on top – to inspect pipelines of bigger diameters, and in the front – for narrower pipes. It also comes with several sets of wheels of different diameters to match inspection requirements.

The new pipe crawler uses 110v or 240v mains or 1KVA generator power inlet.

Inclinometer that informs operator of pipe gradient can be added to the set on request.
