The battery-operated pipe robot with a new wheel extension and enhanced illumination source is able to inspect sewer pipes up to 28’’ in diameter and up to 300 meters (984 ft) long.

Fiberscope.net has launched the sales of a new upgrading kit for the TROGLOTREK sewer inspection robot. The changes include two additional sets of pneumatic tires for larger pipes up to 28’’ in diameter. The tires of the necessary size can be put on and off as needed ensuring a smooth inspection. The battery life and capacity for this modification were also upgraded, which is of utmost importance given that TROGLOTREK uses rechargeable batteries as its only source of power. Finally, an extra light source was added to the crawler to improve illumination within the pipe.

Troglotrek boasts a long (300 meters or 984 ft.) Kevlar-coated cable, front view and rearview cameras, an imaging hub with a daylight readable display, a control keyboard with an on-screen footage counter, an inclinometer, temperature and pressure sensors, and an ability to record up to 9 pages of text, among other useful functions. The inspection process is recorded onto an external SD card, which eliminates the limitations on data storage typical for units with hard drives. In addition, TROGLOTREK sewer inspection robot works can be upgraded with a digital measurement application to measure pipe defects, and a wifi module can be added to the system optionally to connect the device with cell phones or tablets.

The TROGLOTREK pipe robot remains one of the most portable and compact inspection tools on the market of similar products. Only one operator can handle it, and there is no need to employ a specialized truck to carry it around.
